Duration : 7 Years
Eligibility : Age 6 Years and above

Apart from being the premiere institution in the field of Indian Classical Dance by providing various recognised educational degrees, Nalanda under the banner of the Trust - Nalanda Dance Reasearch Centre also conducts certified 'Foundation Classes' for students of all ages in the styles of Bharatanatyam, Kathak, Mohiniattam, Odissi and Folk Dance of 7 years duration affiliated to the Ministry of Culture, Government of Maharashtra. The students of the Foundation class are awarded certificates, recognised by the Government of Maharashtra after clearing each level with annual exams conducted by the institute each year for seven years.

Nalanda Dance Research Centre further offers paid internships (teaching opportunities) to the current degree graduates and the alumni of the University of Mumbai graduate, post graduate courses as they undergo rigorous training during their formal education as they focus on becoming adept teachers, nattuvanaars and choreographers while they pursue their degrees at the dance college.

Nalanda encourages the current graduates and alumni, by bringing them all together under this teaching and examination experience while maintaining the best standards of imparting knowledge further to the next generation, to start their own dance academies by providing such recognised affiliation in India and abroad. 

The motto of Nalanda is to preserve and promote traditional Indian art forms in all its glory as a social responsibility in its most genuine form ensuring growth and promotion of the students' initiative and welfare alongwith being truthful to the Indian arts while uplifting the society by introducing them to the genuine technique and standard of dance initiation for those who want to pursue it as a Foundation.
