Vaishnavee Naiksatam of BPA Part-2, Nalanda Nritya Kala Mahavidyalaya recently participated in 'AIFEST International Poetry Competition-2023' and her poem was selected as an 'A-Grade Winner and was also specially mentioned by the Jury. It was an online competition and the Theme for this year was Celebrating Womanhood.
"Composing poems for me is nothing new but topic based compositions are a bit challenging. I enjoyed and learnt alot while working on this poem. The topic which I wrote on was 'Beauty lies in self', now-a-days every one is overconcious and insecure about their physical appearences as well as mental conditions and try to 'fit in' but at the end of the day imperfection is the ultimate beauty which lies in oneself and this is what I've tried to pen down. And this teaching was passed on to me by my Idols, my Gurus. I'm eternally grateful to our Principal Dr. Uma Rele Ma'am, Dr Vaidehi Rele Lal Ma'am and all the teachers for their immense support. And Special Thanks to Radhika Nair Ma'am as she was the one who shared about the competition, she is the one who had encouraged me to participate." Says Vaishnavee
