'Ashish Utsav' Puru Kalp' took place in the Kanak Sabha of Nalanda Nritya Kala Mahavidyalaya on 22nd September 2024. This event which was organised by Sunil Sunkara and Dr. Piyush Raj, in collaboration with Nalanda, was entrancingly put together with a number of talks, lecture demonstrations, and seminars on the Pedagogy of Dance.'
The lighting of the lamp was followed by a powerful Kathak performance by Miss Eshani Sathe, alumni and senior disciple of Guru Rajendra Gangani and Radhika Sathe, followed by other magnificent demonstrations on Kerala Natanam by Tapatie Chowdhurie, Ekal Kathak Nritya by Hrishikesh Pawar- senior disciple of Guru Neelima Adhye and Guru Rohini Bhate.
The Director and Principal of Nalanda Nritya Kala Mahavidyalaya, Dr. Smt. Uma Rele Ma'am spoke on the 'Pedagogy of Dance', specifically related to Mohiniyattam and Bharatanatyam which was also followed by a magnificent dance presentation- 'Pratidnya' presented by the Students of Nalanda, along with the guidance of Mr. Taamohar Biswas.
The event concluded after a talk by Dr. Puru Dadheech which was accompanied by Harshita Sharma Dadheech, Saranac Saharsha, Sunil Sunkara and Dr. Piyush Raj.
This event was one-of it's own kind having multiple great gurus speaking and sharing about their experiences through various demonstrations that made the evening special.
