Nalanda introduces Nalanda Global Web Shaala - where the teachers and academicians par excellence at Nalanda will be coming Live on the Nalanda Youtube Page and Facebook Page and giving back their genuine support to the society in these troubled times by sharing 'vidya' - thus, keeping the flame for quest for true knowledge burning amongst all students, alumni and the entire web-family. The Education Director, Padmabhushan Dr Smt Kanak Rele will inaugurate the Shaala on the auspicious day of Buddha Purnima (7th May 2020) from 6 pm to 6.30 pm and thereon the torch will pass on from one scholar to another to dispense their pearls of wisdom globally as a webseries in times of the corona lockdown 2020 The topics will vary from Natyashastra to Mythology, from Fitness and Nutrition to Carnatic and Sopana Music, from Choreography and Conceptualisation of a dance piece to Tala, from Stage Makeup to Yoga and from Dancer Psychology and Practical Application of Dance to Theoretical knowledge, ranging from various dance styles, Bharata Natyam, Kathak, Mohiniattam, Odissi and Indian Folk Dances. The web talks will include scholars connected to Nalanda Nritya Kala Mahavidyalaya, such as Shri Deepak Mazumdar, Dr. Uma Rele, Shri C.Gopalakrishnan Nair, Dr. Ambika Vishwanath, Shri M.S.Gireesan, Smt.
