    Winners at 'ANAAS India

Anushkaa Ramanatan and Shaayaree Patil of Degree class, Nalanda Nritya Kala Mahavidyalaya recently participated in 'ANAAS India’ World Dancer’s Olympiad - Season 3 which is an online competition and festival. It includes all classical, western and folk dances. They had performed Ardhanarishvara which is a composition in the praise of the union of Shiva and Parvati. It depicts the opposing qualities of Shiva who is covered in karpura i.e campher and Parvati who is adorned with the Champa flower.

It was a new experience for the both of us as we had never taken part in an online competition. We both were awarded with a trophy, medal and a merit and participation certificate. We poured our heart and soul into this competition. We truly enjoyed every moment and are awaiting for more such opportunities.

We are eternaly grateful to our principal Dr. Uma Rele ma'am, Vaidehi ma'am and all our respected teachers for their constant guidance and support.”

This music of the legendary Smt. Rama Vaidyanathan ji is based on the verses by the legendary Adi Shankaracharya set to ragam Megha in taalam Adi.
